Asmer completes double victory

Marko Asmer made it a double win in the second race at Silverstone today, once again dominating from start to finish

It was a less eventful race for the Hitech Racing driver, who had no repeat of the big sideways moment that had almost jeopardised his victory in the earlier race.

Maro Engel (Carlin Motorsport) repeated his distant second place from this morning, surviving a late attack from Greg Mansell (Fortec Motorsport) in lapped traffic. Mansell's third place was his second podium of the season.

Michael Devaney (Ultimate Motorsport) came in a solid fourth after a poor start from third on the grid in the Mygale chassis. Although some way behind Mansell, he finished well clear of the chasing pack, which was without Atte Mustonen, who had spun at Becketts on the first lap.

Alberto Valerio (Carlin Motorsport) finished fifth, after having passed Sebastian Hohenthal (Fortec) and then Rodolfo Gonzalez (T-Sport).

Sergio Perez (T-Sport) had another solid run in the National Class, echoing Asmer's double win.
