Webber shines again for Jaguar

Jaguar's Mark Webber was delighted to qualify in the top five for the second race in succession for Sunday's San Marino Grand Prix

The Australian was six-tenths off the pace of pole sitter Michael Schumacher's Ferrari, but his lap time was good enough for fifth on the grid, ahead of Malaysian GP winner Kimi Raikkonen. Webber started third in the Brazilian GP a fortnight ago.

"I was aiming for a top six position and it's great to have managed P5," he said. "In some ways, the lap was quite conservative. I didn't want to make any silly mistakes or over push the car. Today we got it just right and we are now very well placed for the race. The aim of the game now is to score points."

Webber was quick to admit that his Jaguar R4 was likely to have been lighter than much of the opposition around him.

"We are definitely lighter [on fuel] than we were in Brazil," he said. "But it's clear progress, whatever strategy we are on."

His team-mate Antonio Pizzonia did a steady job to qualify 15th, having lost time in free practice because of an engine problem.
