Toyota first to announce '09 launch date
Toyota are the first Formula One team to confirm the launch date for their 2009 car
The Cologne-based outfit have decided to unveil their TF109 on 16 January next year, although the launch venue has not been confirmed. However, it is likely that it will take place in Cologne.
Next year's car will look very different to 2008 model thank to a raft of rules changes designed to cut downforce and improve overtaking.
Jarno Trulli said he was more than satisfied with how Toyota's current season has gone, but felt it more important the team did everything right for next year.
"The team have done quite a good job with big progress compared to last year, so let's take it step by step," Trulli told autosport.com. "We know there is still a lot of work to do.
"The fact that next year we will change the rules, this will have a big impact on everyone. And we have to be good enough as a team to get an advantage out of it."
