Ralf Confident of Repeating Canada Glory

Ralf Schumacher has stated that he is confident of repeating last year's victory at the Canadian Grand Prix in Montreal this weekend if his Williams-BMW team can repeat their impressive qualifying performance from Monaco.

Ralf Schumacher has stated that he is confident of repeating last year's victory at the Canadian Grand Prix in Montreal this weekend if his Williams-BMW team can repeat their impressive qualifying performance from Monaco.

Teammate Juan Pablo Montoya claimed pole position in Monte Carlo two weeks ago and Schumacher is hoping that a similar showing by himself this weekend would make him the man to beat at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve.

"I am very happy to go racing in Canada. I had a good result there last year and if it is possible, I would be obviously very pleased to repeat the outcome," said Schumacher, who lies second in the Championship.

"If we will manage to transfer our good qualifying performance (in Monaco) to the race, then we will have a good chance of winning."

But despite his confidence, Schumacher is well aware that the team will have to work hard if they are to keep the Ferraris at bay.

"As the Monaco qualifying session has shown, we are there at the top as well, even though we must admit that Ferrari made a big step forward in the race," added.
