Colombian Juan Pablo Montoya was again the fastest man at Valencia, on the fourth day of testing at the Spanish circuit.
Colombian Juan Pablo Montoya was again the fastest man at Valencia, on the fourth day of testing at the Spanish circuit.
The Williams driver, who on Tuesday broke the track record with the new FW25 car, was less than half a second off his best time as he got back to the wheel of the FW24.
Montoya covered a total of 104 laps with a quickest time of 1:10.556, nearly a whole second faster than Australian Mark Webber, who was the busiest man today with the Jaguar, completing a massive 111 laps as the Milton Keynes team continued making progress with the new R4.
Jordan's Giancarlo Fisichella completed a four-day test for the Silverstone-based squad after having replaced rookie teammate Ralph Firman on Wednesday. Italian Fisichella was again in action at the wheel of the Ford-powered EJ13 chassis, posting the third time after completing 64 laps.
Briton Jenson Button was fourth quickest with the BAR 005, while Marc Gene and Ralf Schumacher finished at the bottom of the timesheets with the FW25 chassis. Schumacher had a troubled day, forcing the session to be red-flagged three times, two of them in the morning due to mechanical failures and one in the afternoon when he went off the track.
The Valencia test will come to an end tomorrow, with Williams, BAR and Jaguar on track.
