Mercedes Formula 1 team sticks with Hamilton/Rosberg test rotation

Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg will split Mercedes driving duties each day at this week's second pre-season Formula 1 test

After Mercedes logged impressive mileage on the opening two days of last week's test, with Hamilton completing 156 laps on day and Rosberg 172 on day two, Mercedes revised its plan.

To keep the drivers fresh, Hamilton and Rosberg did half days for the remaining two days and the world champion team has decided to stick with that format for this week.

Rosberg will be in the car for the first half of Tuesday at Barcelona before Hamilton takes over in the afternoon.

The pair will then rotate with each driver getting an equal number of morning and afternoon sessions.

The expected line-up, along with the others that have been confirmed, can be found below but remains subject to change.

All 11 teams will field 2016 machinery at this test.

Sauber's 2016 challenger - the C35 - will break cover with a rollout on Tuesday morning.

The Swiss team ran its 2015-spec car at the first test after adjusting its plan when the start of the season was brought forward.

Toro Rosso, meanwhile, will unveil its 2016 livery with a presentation in the pitlane at 0715 UK time on Tuesday.

Testing starts at 0800 UK time, with Autosport providing comprehensive live commentary throughout the week.
