McLaren Vow to Keep on Working

McLaren boss Ron Dennis says his team will continue to work hard to get back to the front of the field following another disappointing race in Spain.

McLaren boss Ron Dennis says his team will continue to work hard to get back to the front of the field following another disappointing race in Spain.

The Woking-based team, enduring their worst start to a Formula One season in 23 years, left the Spanish Grand Prix at Barcelona without scoring any points despite both their drivers finishing the race.

Scot David Coulthard came home in 10th place, one position ahead of Finn Kimi Raikkonen. Both men were lapped by race winner Michael Schumacher.

"The outcome of today's race is certainly not what we want, but we always knew that we would struggle at the Barcelona track," said Dennis. "However, there is still some way to go before improvements can be seen.

"Our task is clear: the entire team has to continue to work hard to get back to where we want to be which is at the front."

McLaren have scored only five points in five races and are in fifth place in the Constructors' Championship, 77 points behind Ferrari.
