McLaren boss slates Schuey's tactics again

McLaren boss Ron Dennis has again attacked Michael Schumacher's ruthless racing tactics

The German was beaten into second place by Mika Hakkinen in the Belgian Grand Prix - but not before he had blocked the Finn's first attempt to wrestle the lead away at 200mph.

As Hakkinen tried to go up the inside of the Ferrari on lap 40, Schumacher appeared to move across his path and the two cars came within millimetres of touching.

"The manner in which Michael changed his line was right on the limit of what you are allowed to do," said Dennis. "Mika was fortunate not to end up in the grass. I do not want to turn this into a war of words, but we are not going to just ignore it."

Hakkinen was equally recitent to be drawn into a slanging match.

"It was a very unpleasant moment," he said. "I am not 100% sure if I touched Michael's rear wheel, but at the time I thought I had damaged my car and thought my race was over."

But Schumacher defended his actions saying: "I didnt do anything that other drivers haven't done. I changed direction once as the rules allow."
