Jordan Duo Looking to Stronger Second Qualifying

The Jordan team are looking forward to a better showing in tomorrow's qualifying session following a disappointing first day at Interlagos.

The Jordan team are looking forward to a better showing in tomorrow's qualifying session following a disappointing first day at Interlagos.

Italian Giancarlo Fisichella was again the fastest of the Jordan duo, finishing down in 14th position in today's first qualifying session for the Brazilian Grand Prix.

Fisichella, whose team are yet to score a point this season, admitted he was unhappy with the handling of his Ford-powered EJ13 despite having worked for two hours in this morning's test session.

"I'm not too happy with how it went," Fisichella said after the session. "The car had a lot of oversteer during the lap and the grip was not good - I don't know why. I'm hoping for a better day tomorrow."

Rookie Ralph Firman also failed to shine in today's session, the Briton finishing down in 18th position as he continued to get to grips with the demands of an F1 car.

"We had quite a bit of oversteer and qualifying was only my second timed lap in the rain," said Firman. "I'm looking forward to tomorrow."
