Frentzen Confident of Finding More Speed

German Heinz-Harald Frentzen is confident of finding even more speed in tomorrow's qualifying after one of his best performances of the season so far in Friday's practice for the San Marino Grand Prix.

German Heinz-Harald Frentzen is confident of finding even more speed in tomorrow's qualifying after one of his best performances of the season so far in Friday's practice for the San Marino Grand Prix.

"Generally I'm pleased about the pace we have here and it's good to finish the first day in the top six," said Frentzen after setting the sixth quickest time of the wet session with his Arrows.

"We have made some small modifications to the car since Brazil, which has moved us in the right direction. I feel there is still more time to come and I'm looking forward to the qualifying session tomorrow."

Frentzen and teammate Enrique Bernoldi are yet to score a point this year, and their Arrows team are, along with Jordan and BAR, the only Formula One squad yet to finish in the top six in 2002.

For Brazilian Bernoldi, however, things did not improve much today, and the Arrows driver had to settle for 18th place, being unable to find the right set-up for his A23.

"We had a very strange day today," claimed Bernoldi. "Whichever way we went on the set-up the car stayed the same so we have a lot of work to do this afternoon to try and figure out what happened. Having said that, we did start to make a bit of progress in the second session."
