Fisichella Unhappy after Missed Opportunity

Italian driver Giancarlo Fisichella said his retirement from today's Canadian Grand Prix cost him a good chance of scoring some points.
The Jordan driver, who has failed to finish in the points since he won the Brazilian Grand Prix back in May, endured another disappointing weekend, retiring from the race with a mechanical problem on lap 21.
"I was having a great race but then I couldn't get first gear after the pitstop, I think it might be a problem with the gearbox," explained Fisichella. "I worked with my engineer to get a good set-up and strategy and our pace was looking really good.
"I think it would have been easy to score points today, but unfortunately I stopped. I'm very disappointed."
Fisichella's teammate Ralph Firman also went out of the race with a mechanical problem, completing a poor day for the Silverstone-based squad.
"We decided to change the strategy to one stop and it seemed to be working out really well," said Firman. "I'm not quite sure what caused the failure but the engineers are looking into it.
"I'm disappointed as it looks like we would have been able to score points today and it's a real shame for the team that I wasn't able to finish."
