Button sure Honda can start winning

Briton Jenson Button has reiterated his intention to score his maiden Grand Prix win this season despite a slow start in Bahrain

Button was tipped as one of the main favourites to win the season opener, but clutch problems hindered him at the start of the race and the Honda driver had to settle for a distant fourth position.

But Button, who become the youngest driver to complete 100 races in Formula One last season, believes his team are ready to win and he admits he is looking to break his duck as soon as possible.

"That's my aim. Yes, as I just said. I think we have got a winning car and if I can't win in it then that's an issue obviously," said Button ahead of the Malaysian Grand Prix.

"We have got a car that is capable of winning and a team that is capable of winning. It wasn't a perfect race for us for the reasons I have given already and there is a lot of competition as always in Formula One.

"But we are in a good position here because we have got a great car, a reliable car - most of the time - and so, yeah, we are looking forward to this race and the rest of the season. We know it is not going to be easy, but it never is."
