Barrichello praises Honda progress

Rubens Barrichello was thankful to his Honda Racing team after their progress allowed him to fight at the top in qualifying for the Hungarian Grand Prix

The Japanese squad seem to have taken a step forward in the last two races, with both Barrichello and teammate Jenson Button shining in qualifying and in the race in Germany, where Button finished in fourth place.

Barrichello continued with his progress today, posting the third quickest time in qualifying.

"It is important. Starting here, this is one of the worst places to start on the right side, so I am quite happy," said Barrichello after qualifying.

"There is a lot of pressure from the outside but everyone at Honda have made a hell of an effort to put the car where it is.

"The car is much more driveable, so I feel sorry for Jenson changing the engine because otherwise we would have been third or fourth. So we have made an improvement."

Button, fourth quickest, will start from 14th position after being forced to change his engine ahead of qualifying.
