Barrichello aims for back-to-back success

European Grand Prix winner Rubens Barrichello is confident of scoring his first back-to-back Formula 1 victories in this weekend's British GP at Silverstone

The Brazilian, who raced at Silverstone many times during his early career, says he expects changeable weather conditions this weekend but is confident he can handle the elements.

"Whatever the weather, I expect to be competitive this weekend and I am looking forward to the race," said Barrichello. "Actually, driving the Silverstone track in the rain can be interesting and fun. The only problem is if the rain arrives in the middle of the race and the car's settings are not adjusted for the conditions."

"In terms of set-up, you need a bit of everything. Aerodynamically, the car needs to work well because of fast corners like Copse, Becketts and Stowe. You also need good brakes for Club and Brooklands and the tyres have to survive well, because you need good traction out of some of the turns. The track really needs a good combination of all the elements of the car."

Barrichello has already found time to gloat over Brazil's success in the World Cup last weekend, to the annoyance of his German team-mate Michael Schumacher.

"I even rang Michael a couple of times and left him a message, blowing a referee's whistle down the phone!" he revealed.
