BAR Duo Hoping for Better at Spa

British American Racing drivers Olivier Panis and Jacques Villeneuve are already looking forward to a better Belgian Grand Prix after a dismal performance at this weekend's race in Hungary.

After struggling in qualifying, Frenchman Panis was the only BAR driver to cross under the checkered flag, albeit in a disappointing 12th position one lap down. Canadian teammate Villeneuve was the first retirement of the race when he succumbed to a transmission problem on lap 21.

"After my second stop, the car was running OK but then, close to the end of the race, the team asked me to slow down because they were worried about an oil pressure problem and that's why Montoya pulled away from me," said Panis.

"We're going to work very hard this week in order to solve the different problems we have encountered and generally make sure we are ready for Spa."

Villeneuve added: "It's a disappointing end to a difficult weekend so I guess we just put it behind us and move on to the next one. Spa is one of my favourite races and one where we expect to do better than we have here in Hungary."

BAR, who have scored five points so far this year, will use Honda engines exclusively next year after it was announced on Sunday that Jordan will switch to Ford units.
