Schumacher Flying at Barcelona - Morning Session

World Champion Michael Schumacher was again the fastest man at the Circuit de Catalunya, in the morning session of the fourth day of testing at the Spanish circuit.

Schumacher continued to set a blistering pace with the Ferrari F2002, lapping less than a tenth of a second slower than the track record after 21 laps. The German driver set a quickest lap of 1:15.103 and finished more than three tenths ahead of teammate Rubens Barrichello.

German Heinz-Harald Frentzen joined the Barcelona test today, taking over from teammate Nick Heidfeld, who travelled to Lurcy-Levis in France to evaluate and validate aerodynamic changes on the new C22 car.

Frentzen, third fastest more than a second behind Schumacher, was the quickest of the men in the 2003 cars, outpacing Juan Pablo Montoya and his Williams FW25.

The McLaren team, absent from the test until today, joined the session with both their drivers David Coulthard and Kimi Raikkonen. The duo continued to put miles on the updated MP4-17D chassis and finished the morning session near the bottom of the times.

Australian Mark Webber, who replaced teammate Antonio Pizzonia today, was slowest with the Jaguar R4.
