Button Encouraged by Benetton's New Pace

Briton Jenson Button has set his sights high for an end of season flurry following the impressive result for his Benetton team at the Belgian Grand Prix last weekend.

Benetton introduced aerodynamic improvements in Hungary which seem to have dramatically improved the performance of the car, and Button thinks he can aim for a top-10 qualifying position in every remaining race.

"I think the car is working quite well now and top-ten qualifying from here on in would be great," said Button. "That is what we are aiming for, I think. The car seemed to suit the fast circuits. It worked well at Barcelona, and it is great to finally see what the car can do."

Button's teammate Giancarlo Fisichella qualified in eighth place and ended the race on the podium in the last race at Spa. But although Button performed less impressively as he qualified 15th and spun out of the race after making a mistake, what he experienced gave him confidence for the rest of the season.

"There were a few changes since Hungary, but nothing major," he said. "I thought we'd be quick after the test in Barcelona, it does seem good and the new aero package has really helped."
