The Sauber team completed a three-day testing programme at the Fiorano circuit today, with Brazilian Felipe Massa doing the driving.

Massa, who had tested for Ferrari earlier this week at the Mugello circuit, took over from Italian teammate Giancarlo Fisichella, covering a total of 167 laps with a best time of 57.315.

"Today Felipe was able to run some more Bridgestone tyre compound tests with regard to the next races and further evaluated brakes and dampers," said race engineer Giampaolo Dall'Ara. "He has worked hard and ran a lot of laps, thanks to which we finally could complete our scheduled test programme for this week.

"Overall we can say that we did a lot of mileage those days which provided valuable data for us. We now feel much more confident concerning low-speed tracks like Monaco which was the main target of our work here in Fiorano. In addition we were able to achieve good results referring to the brake performance on high-demanding tracks such as Montreal."
