Anderson: Job Cuts Will Help Jordan Performance

Jordan technical chief Gary Anderson said on Saturday that the team's performance will improve because of the redundancies they were forced to make this week.
The Silverstone-based outfit made a 15 percent staff reduction following a six-month assessment period in which the structure of the team was analysed in an effort to make it more efficient.
Anderson, who rejoined the team in the winter, believes that the re-structuring will actually make the team gel better and insisted that the performance of the cars will benefit as a result.
"It was getting to the point where there were too many cross-overs and we were acting on things that hadn't been proven yet," said Anderson today at Barcelona. "I think this will improve things."
Anderson is now working alongside Frenchman Henri Durand after Iranian-born technical director Eghbal Hamidy was ousted from the Silverstone-based team this week.
Irishman Anderson, who ended his previous spell with Jordan in the middle of the 1998 season, has already developed a good relationship with his new technical ally.
But he admitted the EJ12 car is "very unstable" and believes he and Durand still have a lot of work to do to make the car competitive because of the pace of development shown by their rivals.
