"I would prefer to stay with Williams," said Button. "I want to stay here for the next few years, but if it came to going to another team then so be it."

"We will just have to wait and see what happens. Nothing has been said to me yet.

"Frank hasn't given me any indication which way it will go but I guess he has been looking at Montoya since the start of the year.

"I don't think about it, there's no point but it isn't unsettling me.

"I am just concentrating on my job and I'm taking it race by race, doing the best job I can to get results."

Frank Williams said at the British Grand Prix that Button has exceeded all expectations, and the only thing that would influence him would be Button's performances on the track.
