McLaren to introduce team orders?
McLaren is likely to step up Mika Hakkinen's championship charge by introducing team orders at next weekend's European Grand Prix
With three races left, Hakkinen is level on 60 points with Ferrari's Eddie Irvine, while in the constructors' championship McLaren only has a six point advantage.
Hakkinen threw away the chance to go clear at the top of the drivers' championship when he spun out of last Sunday's Italian Grand Prix.
Heinz-Harald Frentzen's win also puts the Jordan driver back in contention for the 1999 crown with 50 points.
McLaren team boss Ron Dennis said, 'We will probably look at team orders before the next race.
'It is tight and that is probably the way that we are going to have to go.
'But we still lead both championships, we have got the fastest car, two fastest drivers and are in great shape.
'You wanted an exciting world championship and you have got one. The chances are that it is going to go down to the last race.'
