Super Aguri insist that no final decision has been made about their drivers for 2008, despite Takuma Sato and Anthony Davidson being nominated on the official Formula One entry list for the new season.
The team have made no secret of their intention to retain Sato and Davidson for another season, but sponsorship matters and the ongoing arbitration case revolving around customer cars has left them unable to confirm them just yet.
And although the team put the two drivers down on their entry list for this year's championship, they have made it clear that they have yet to sign official deals with either man.
A team spokeswoman told autosport.com: "The contracts of both drivers are still under negotiation.
"It is the team's intention to retain both for the sake of continuity and because we are very satisfied with them. But no contracts have been signed yet."
Teams are able to change their nominated drivers up until the eve of the new season, which kicks off in Melbourne on March 16.
