Mateschitz delighted with Renault engines

Red Bull owner Dietrich Mateschitz has praised world champions Renault for their commitment in their partnership with the Red Bull Racing team

The French squad are supplying engines to Red Bull this season, and although the Austrian-owned team are yet to score a point in 2007, Mateschitz is delighted with the partnership.

"Very happy," said Mateschitz when asked how happy he was with the Renault partnership. "What Renault is doing is simply fantastic, the cooperation is as impeccable as it is with Ferrari for Toro Rosso.

"Flavio Briatore had promised us the same material as Renault is running themselves. What he tells you is written in stone.

"And I really could not tell how we could be treated any better regarding material and manpower. It also makes sense to have a benchmark for their own team," the Austrian told Motorsport Aktuell.

Red Bull Racing used Ferrari engines last season before switching to Renault in 2007.

Mateschitz's other F1 team, Toro Rosso, are currently using the Italian power units following their switch from Cosworth.
