Punters' guide to the Malaysian GP

British bookmaker Ladbrokes has given Mazzacane and Gene each a thousand to one chance to win Sunday's Malaysian Grand Prix. So there's still a chance then...

But for the rest of us punters the usual suspects at the other end of the gird should offer a more likely candidate to win the race.

Newly crowned champion Michael Schumacher is favourite to win, with the Ferrari ace 5/4 to take the chequered flag first at Sepang. As you would expect, Mika Hakkinen's odds are pretty close to Schumacher's, with the Finn being 6/4 to win.

Further down the grid, Ralf Schumacher or Jenson Button might be a worthwhile each way bet, with the Williams pair 25/1 and 33/1 respectively. Despite tipping Jacques Villeneuve to nick third place in recent Grands Prix, Autosport.com has decided to not back the Canadian BAR driver this time around in the sure knowledge that if we don't bet on him, he is bound to do well.
