Spa 24 Hours winners Gotz, Buhk to test DTM Mercedes
Spa 24 Hours winners Maxi Gotz and Maxi Buhk will make their DTM test debuts for Mercedes at Lausitz next month
The German pair have enjoyed stellar seasons, triumphing not only in the Spa enduro, but also leading the ADAC GT Masters points in Mercedes machinery.
Gotz, who won that series last year, and Buhk - the 2012 European GT3 champion - will drive the DTM race-winning C-class on September 17.
Mercedes motorsport chief Toto Wolff said that the pair had proved themselves worthy of a test in a DTM car.
"With our DTM driver line-up for the current year, we have demonstrated that we are prepared to put our faith in young and fast drivers - an approach that has already yielded dividends this season in the form of podium finishes," said Mercedes motorsport chief Toto Wolff.
"Against strong competition, the two Maximilians have shown that they are ready to step up to the next level.
"For their outstanding performance in the gullwing Mercedes, the two Maximilians fully deserve this forthcoming DTM test."
