Team RAC retain Turkington, Jelley
Colin Turkington and Stephen Jelley will remain with Team RAC for this year's British Touring Car Championship after re-signing for the BMW squad
Long-time tin top ace Turkington has won the Indepdendents' class for the past two years and took four victories last season on his way to fourth in the championship.
Jelley meanwhile, took 15th place in the points, but ended the year well with a surprise maiden pole position at Brands Hatch.
Dick Bennetts, whose WSR squad runs the pair of BMW 320s, said: "I am delighted that Stephen has agreed to re-sign for Team RAC. He had a steep learning curve adjusting to the hurly-burly of touring cars at the start of the 2008 season, but this was overcome as the year went on.
"The pole position secured in the final round at Brands Hatch was no mean feat and a tribute to his driving abilities. He is a promising driver, a quick learner, and someone who complements Colin Turkington perfectly."
WSR still plan to run a third BMW in the championship, although no drivers have yet been found for the seat.
