No team orders for Vauxhall drivers
Reigning BTCC champions VX Racing will let all three of their drivers fight on an equal footing this year, according to their operations manager Mike Nicholson
The team have signed Matt Neal and Tom Onslow-Cole to join Fabrizio Giovanardi for 2008, and there will be no team orders for any driver unless one or more are involved in a championship battle later in the year.
Speaking on the main stage at this year's Autosport International Show, Nicholson said: "We needed two strong drivers, and in fact we've ended up with more than that.
"They will start off an equal footing, that's always important. The only thing we ask of our drivers is that they don't hit each other.
"As the season progresses we will see how the season pans out. If we get to a point in the season where one can win and the others can't then they will be expected to support the one who can."
Nicholson added that the team have high expectations for Onslow-Cole, who joins them from Team RAC.
"As with Matt and Fabrizio, Tom will start the season with an equal opportunity to go for the championship," he said. "We're expecting strong performances from him."
