Grapevine: BTCC boss Gow plays joke on Jordans
Mike Jordan's Eurotech Team carried some highly amusing window stickers on their cars during qualifying for the British Touring Car Championship season-opener at Brands Hatch
Eurotech's pair of Honda Integras were sabotaged by championship boss Alan Gow, who decided to have a joke at father and son teammates Mike and Andrew Jordan's expense, replacing the name stickers on their side windows with 'old man' and 'young man' respectively.
Old man Jordan told autosport.com: "It was Alan's idea. We were told to take our names off the cars in the morning, so we did but we didn't know why. Then he got out the new stickers and put them on himself. I couldn't believe it.
"We took the cars to scrutineering, they thought we'd done it and they said 'you can't do that.' I told them to ask the boss."
That's not quite the end of the story for the Jordans either.
"Alan said that each time I annoy him this year the name will get worse, so it's 'old git' next. He's only a few years older than me, though, so maybe I'll get my own back."
