Race 2: Muller takes it
Jorg Muller won round 8 of the FIA ETCC after passing Rickard Rydell and Antonio Garcia in a thrilling second race at Hockenheim. Muller held off under pressure from namesake and Schnitzer teammate Dirk Muller, and fellow BMW driver Antonio Garcia, to complete a BMW 1-2-3

Series leader Priaulx posted his first retirement of the year on lap 6, when leak sent fluids onto his hot brake disks, ending his race.
Muller quickly piled the pressure on Garcia who is still chasing his first ETCC win. On lap 9, he made a pass stick, with Dirk Muller following him through to start four laps of dicing that showed just how competitive the series is.
On the final lap, the top three were three wide into the hairpin, Jorg Muller keeping his lead, and Garcia keeping his second place despite wheel-banging with Dirk Muller most of the way back to the flag.
