Race 1: Priaulx wins

Andy Priaulx won round nine of the FIA European Touring Car Championship at Brno for the BMW Team Great Britain, and in doing so became the first man to win three races in the category so far this season

The Guerseyman took the lead into the first corner after forcing his way past Dirk Muller's Team Deutschland 320i. He then pulled away quickly and won as he pleased.

Poleman Rickard Rydell was second - SEAT's best ever finish in the ETCC - having taken advantage of Muller's clash with Priaulx to nip past the German as he recovered momentum. Initially it looked as if Muller would retake the SEAT, but he then dropped back and was eventually passed by Antonio Garcia for third place.

Fabrizio Giovanardi finished fifth after Spaniard Jordi Gene ran wide on to the gravel, which probably contributed to a last lap puncture on his SEAT.

Tom Coronel was sixth ahead of Jorg Muller and Frank Diefenbacher, who put a spectacular move on Gabriele Tarquni mid-race to push the Italian out of a points finish.
