Muller sees no weakness at BMW
Jorg Muller believes that BMW do not have any weaknesses ahead of the start of this year's World Touring Car Championship
The German missed out on the title by just one point to Andy Priaulx in 2006, and he is expecting the manufacturer to be just as strong this year because they are familiar with their car.
BMW introduced a new model for the 2006 season, but Muller said that this year's car is very similar so the team have been able to fine-tune it ahead of the season opener in Brazil this weekend.
"We don't have any weaknesses," he said. "There are no problems since we know our car, it is almost identical compared with last year's."
Muller believes that some of the BMW's rear-wheel drive advantage will be lost due to the introduction of rolling starts for the first race of each weekend, but he still expects the car to excel in other areas.
"Of course, our biggest strength is the rear-wheel drive at the start, but unfortunately we have lost some of this advantage," he said.
"But our second strength is the fact that the BMW deals with the tyres in a very conservative manner, and therefore it's possible to perform constantly well over a long distance."
