Huff expects to be quick at Brno

Rob Huff believes that Chevrolet will be strong again at Brno this year as the track will suit the Lacetti car

The British driver took his maiden WTCC victory at the track last year, and after a solid weekend at Pau, he believes that he will be quick again in the Czech Republic.

"The Chevrolet will work well at Brno because its greatest strength is in how it changes direction in the corners," he said.

"It's quite a stiff car so it's good to drive in high-speed sweeps like those we have at Brno.

"It might look quite strange that we did so well at a tight track like Pau, but all three of us were at our quickest in the final sector, which is the fastest part of the track."

Huff was delighted with his weekend at Pau, where he picked up 10 points over the course of the two races, and he thinks that the performance of his car there bodes well for the street races still to come this season.

"Pau was a great weekend," he added. "I think it was my best weekend in terms of consistency, even including my win at Brno last year.

"We had a really great car there, and it's good to know that the Chevrolet rides the bumps well because we have other street tracks at Porto and Macau."

Huff is currently 11th in the WTCC standings after four of 11 rounds this year, and his points in France last weekend were his first since the season-opener in Brazil.
