Gronholm not ruling out testing
Two-time world rally champion Marcus Gronholm will consider future tests and possible rally outings with Ford this year, despite retiring from the sport at the end of last season
Speaking at the Autosport International Show, the Finn, who lost out on the title to Sebastien Loeb at the final round in 2007, said: "Maybe I would like to do some testing to keep a feel for driving.
"If I stopped completely it would be very difficult if I wanted to come back and do a rally after doing nothing all year.
"The other guys would have been doing the whole season and it would be dangerous for me to try to win, especially if it was somewhere like Finland where the speed is very high.
"At the moment I feel ok with the decision to retire and I have no plans to do anything yet, but you never know what might happen. I don't know how I'll adjust to not rallying and if I really hate it after a few months then maybe I will do something. Only time will tell."
Gronholm will stay involved in the sport in the meantime: "I will still be working with Ford a little bit so I will come to some rallies, I am helping a young driver in Norway and I have already been driving a little bit on snow with him, so I will be keeping busy."
