Racing for Holland to skip Le Mans
Racing for Holland will not enter the 2008 Le Mans 24 Hours, the team has announced
The Dutch squad have competed in the event for the past seven years, but team boss Jan Lammers believes that the financial risk of competing in the race next year is too great.
"I did not want to compete at Le Mans again with a big chance that we would lose money as a business because of this," he said.
"It is not unthinkable that in the future Racing for Holland will return to Le Mans again, but only if the right 'win-win' conditions are there."
Lammers, who will continue to race next year in a Porsche RS Spyder with Horag Racing, added that his outfit were fully focused on their A1GP duties at the moment.
"A1GP is going really well," he said. "The sponsor budget is complete and already for next year we are well underway.
"We will be very busy so it will be more difficult to determine what we are not going to do."
