Pescarolo happy with performance

Henri Pescarolo has said that he was pleased with the performance of his cars at last weekend's Le Mans test day

The French team owner believes that his squad have little chance of competing with the diesel-powered cars from Peugeot and Audi, but the lead Pescarolo was less than two seconds slower than the fastest time set by Sebastien Bourdais.

The test was also the first time that the 2007 Pescarolo cars had run with their definitive aero package, and the team were impressed with the results.

"We're really happy with the new aero package because what we thought we'd found during the development was confirmed," said Pescarolo.

Emmanuel Collard, Jean-Christophe Boullion and Romain Dumas were fourth fastest overall in the lead car, while the second team of Harold Primat, Christophe Tinseau and Benoit Treluyer was 10th fastest after the trio didn't run soft tyres near the end of the day.

"We have gained about two seconds and found a well-based set-up between stability and performance," Pescarolo added. "All of our six drivers did a great job."
