Hour 12: Battles everywhere but the front

As long as Guy Smith is at the wheel and reliability holds, Bentley #7 will continue to be unchallengeable. The Briton is lapping truly fast whilst Mark Blundell in the second Bentley struggles to come close to that pace, although he remains on the same lap.

While the leading Bentley looks quite comfortable, there aren't many in the top ten who aren't looking over their shoulders.

The Champion Audi remains a lap down in third, still with a definite sniff of second place. But the Team Goh Audi is causing consternation with two lengthy stops for some unresolved ECU issues. Further trouble is going to drop it behind the Racing for Holland Dome, now just a lap behind.

Andy Wallace says that the aforementioned Dome is getting better and better in the cool conditions, with significant improvements in both handling and power.

There's more excitement in the battle for 6th, as Jean-Marc Gounon is within a minute of the #11 Panoz. Whether his Courage team-mates will be able to keep up the good work remains to be seen.

Meanwhile the second Dutch Dome-Judd has been pushed into the garage after arriving in the pits without its front bodywork.

The #50 Corvette has recovered to third in the GTS category, but it will have to make up three laps to catch the Veloqx Prodrive Ferraris. At the moment, it is only lapping fractionally quicker.
