Delta-ADR expands to two cars for 2013 WEC

The British Delta-ADR squad is expanding to two cars for its attack on the LMP2 class of the World Endurance Championship after linking up with Russian entrant G-Drive Racing

Delta-ADR has taken over the ORECA-Nissan 03 run last year by the French Signatech squad and will field both its ORECAs with the branding of the Russian oil company.

The move from Signatech follows a clash of branding; its Alpine-badged ORECA will carry Total backing at the Le Mans 24 Hours blue-riband round of the WEC.

The deal means that Delta-ADR becomes a official Nissan partner team courtesy of G-Drive's links with the Japanese manufacturer.

Delta-ADR team manager Simon Dowson, whose squad finished second in the LMP2 teams' classification last year, said: "Having two cars can only help our aim to go one better than last year in 2013. There will be an open sharing of information between the two cars, which will undoubtedly be beneficial."

Drivers so far confirmed for the two-car Delta-ADR line-up are Russian Roman Rusinov, who raced the G-Drive entry last year, and team regulars John Martin and Tor Graves.

The line-ups for the individual cars will be announced when the team completes its driver roster.

Silverstone-based Delta-ADR is a joint venture between motorsport engineering specialist Delta Motorsport and Alan Docking Racing.

The two organisations entered the sportscar arena last year after previously working together in the Superleague Formula one-make single-seater series.
