Montoya predicts tough Busch debut

Juan Pablo Montoya is expecting a difficult debut in the NASCAR Busch Series at Memphis Motorsports Park on October 28

The Colombian has tested at the track and admitted it wouldn't be his first choice as a venue for his debut.

"If I had to pick where I wanted to do my first Busch race, I wouldn't pick there, but that's the way it is," he said.

"It's a short and tricky race track and I learned that it killed the tyres. I think it's going to be a bit of a shock to me."

Montoya showed good pace on a short oval in the ARCA race at Iowa recently, but doesn't think that Memphis is that similar.

"At Iowa you could run high and low, but at Memphis everybody will want to be on the bottom," he said. "There will only be one line, so I think we're going to get bumped around."

Montoya was speaking at the Nextel Cup test at Homestead-Miami speedway, and said that nothing was in place for him to compete at the same track in the Busch series finale next month.

"We'll go to Memphis and see what happens," he said. "Whatever we decide will be because it's the right thing for me to do next.

"We're not even close to the point we know what we're going to do yet, the main focus is getting ready for Daytona next year."
