Logano aims to learn from NASCAR Sprint Cup champion Keselowski

Joey Logano expects to learn a huge amount from his new team-mate Brad Keselowski after his first test alongside the 2012 NASCAR Sprint Cup champion

Former Joe Gibbs Racing driver Logano had his Penske baptism on Tuesday when he first sat behind the wheel of the #22 Ford that he will drive in 2013.

"The lines of communication have been very open between both [Penske] teams and I'm really excited about that," said Logano, who takes the seat occupied by AJ Allmendinger and Sam Hornish Jr in 2012.

"I think that's definitely one of the biggest things I like over there right now.

"I think that's definitely cool having Brad working with me and vice versa. I think it's going to be good. I'm excited about it."

The 2009 Cup rookie of the year admitted to being impressed by Keselowski's approach to both his set-up and teamwork.

"I think the coolest thing that Brad is able to do is he's able to think outside of the box - like, way outside the box," said Logano.

"I think that's interesting to me, to see the way his mind works. I've learned a lot the last couple days and the way he thinks through a race car is a little bit different than normal, and I think that's cool.

"I think it's good to have a little bit of both on a team, so I can learn a lot on the way he leads a team and drives a race car and the way he sets up his car. I seem to be a little bit different.

"The way he drives his car is a little bit different than me, too. Taking some of his techniques, I've tried them out there and there are pros and cons to everything, but it gives me a few more tools to work with when I'm out there."

Penske is set to enter 2013 with the youngest driver line-up among leading Cup outfits. Keselowski and Logano are 28 and 22 respectively.
