Premat wants Champ Car seat in '07
Alexandre Premat has set his sights on a drive in the Champ Car World Series after completing his maiden test with Conquest Racing this week
The Frenchman impressed the team with his pace at the MSR Houston circuit, and wants to put together a deal to race with them next year.
"I'm very happy with how my test went," he said. "The car is completely different to an F1 car but it's really good to drive.
"I really like Champ Car, I watched every race this year and I intend on doing everything I can to be in the series next year."
The GP2 and A1GP race winner drove the third Spyker-MF1 car on the Friday of the Chinese Grand Prix weekend, but he is happy to be chasing other options over the winter.
"I'm really happy to have done a test in a Champ Car, I think the series is incredible and it was a lot of fun being behind the wheel of the car.
"The Conquest mechanics are great. It was a pleasure to work with them and I hope not only to be in Champ Car next year but to be with this team."
