Stoner wary of 'lethal' bumps
German Grand Prix pole-man Casey Stoner believes the resurfacing of the Sachsenring has made the important penultimate corner "lethal" for riders
Several riders have complained that the work on the German track has accentuated a bump at the corner formally known as the Saxony Kurve, but now named Turn 12.
Valentino Rossi won last year's race from 10th on the grid, and made most of his passes in this section.
While Stoner does not expect to have to do much overtaking in tomorrow's race, he is still very wary of the bend.
"It's lethal now. It's very lethal," he said.
"I've already had a couple of big twitches there. The front bottoms out really quickly.
"There are two bumps. There is one you'll get if you try and go a little bit wider, and there's another bump just before it too, and it really unsettles the bike.
There were a few rolling bumps there last year, but this year if you haven't got that little bit left in the forks, then you'll bottom out quite easily there and lose the front like Nicky (Hayden) did on Friday."
World champion Hayden had a substantial accident at the corner in the first practice session, and the worsening of the bumps was believed to be a factor in the crash.
