Gresini riders feeling more comfortable

Honda Gresini riders Toni Elias and Marco Melandri have both said that they are starting to feel comfortable on their bikes after the Turkish Grand Prix

Elias made the podium last weekend, while Melandri charged through the field after a disappointing qualifying to finish fifth.

Both riders believe that the team have made a step forward with the 800cc Honda RC212v bike.

"I'm pleased to see that my riding style, which many people said would be too aggressive for the 800cc bike, can be effective," said Elias.

"I have to thank my team for the work they have done on the set-up and Bridgestone, who have come up with a tyre which is perfect for my riding style.

"This has raised my confidence in my potential and allowed me to progress."

Melandri was pleased with his weekend despite not being able to challenge for victory, and the Italian is now hoping that he can be strong from the start of the weekend in China.

"In the race in Turkey we recovered the feeling I lost during practice and I was able to ride the way I like," he said.

"Now the objective is to find the right way forward with the set-up from the first session."

Elias and Melandri are currently fourth and fifth respectively in the riders' standings after three rounds.
