Grapevine: Rossi reveals new helmet design
Valentino Rossi has revealed his new helmet in Qatar this weekend, at the opening round of the 2008 MotoGP season
The new design is another version of the sun-and-moon theme, which he maintained for the past 13 seasons.
Harking back to a design he used in 2001 on the 500cc Nastro Azzuro Honda, Rossi now has the sun on the front of the helmet and the moon behind - rather than one on either side.
The five rays emanating from the sun represent the five continents that MotoGP visits during the season, with Aborigines' feet for Australia and an Indian theme for America.
The helmet was designed by Aldo Drudi and will be used by the Yamaha rider throughout the entire season.
