Edwards reckons season back on track
Colin Edwards believes that his season is now back on track after he finished second at Donington last weekend
The American has taken two pole positions this season, but before last weekend he hadn't finished higher than 10th since the second round of the season on his factory Yamaha.
"Second at Donington was a good result, we're finally back on the pace," said Edwards. "We had a couple of tricks up our sleeve there.
"Michelin helped us as well, and we got that old feeling back. We just got everything working."
Edwards believes that the team have not had to make any major progress in recent weeks, but they've just had to get everything to fall into place.
"We've got all the data and the information, it's just a matter of putting it all together," he added.
The 33-year-old added that he is hoping to put right the disaster of last year's race at Assen, where he crashed at the final corner while battling Nicky Hayden for the lead.
"Last year was a good race, it was just the last 100 metres that were a problem," he said. "We're looking to complete those last 100 metres this year."
