Ducati exceeds expectations for Elias

Toni Elias says that his first test on a Ducati this week went better than he had anticipated

The Spaniard spent two days on track at Valencia with the Pramac d'Antin team, and he said that he already feels comfortable on the Italian bike.

"In summary, this test has been a better start than I had hoped," said Elias, who raced for the Gresini Honda squad for the past two years.

"I'm happy because I improved my times from the first day and I felt comfortable on the bike. In addition, I was able to lap very consistently."

Elias was eighth fastest in the second day of the test, and he added that the team still had plenty of work to do over the winter once they get the bikes they will race in 2008.

"We have a lot of work to do, but I want to do it, and the team also," he said. "Now I'm thinking about the winter tests in January and the first race in Qatar."
