Dovizioso still getting used to bike

Andrea Dovizioso says that he still has a lot to learn on a MotoGP bike before he will feel totally comfortable

The Italian was the top class rookie at the end of the first day of testing at Sepang, but he is still trying to get to grips with the step up from the 250cc bikes.

"Today was very, very good, and I am so satisfied," he said. "We're understanding many things and we are gradually getting to know more and more about my machine.

"Yes, things are going well, but my feeling is still not 100 per cent on this bike. The MotoGP machine is very different from the 250cc."

The 21-year-old added that a MotoGP bike was more complicated than the smaller bikes.

"You have to look at so many different elements on the machine and the setup before you can really push as hard as I could on the 250," he said.

"But I'm willing to learn new things on this machine so I'm sure I can give more and more as time goes on."

Dovizioso set the fourth fastest time riding for JiR Team Scot on Thursday.
