Suzuki expect to bounce back in Jerez
The Rizla Suzuki team believe their tough time in the Phillip Island test this week was just a blip and they expect to be back on form at Jerez in a fortnight
Chris Vermeulen clocked the sixth fastest time on the final day of testing in Australia but thinks there is more to come from the GSV-R.
He said: "We still have some issues to sort out at Phillip Island - it certainly seems to be our bogey track.
"We tested so many options and tried different things from almost every angle over the three days, and we are still scratching our heads on a few things. But I'm sure we'll make further steps in the next few tests in time for the start of the season.
Teammate Loris Capirossi was a disappointing 13th on the final day of testing, but he too is expecting more when the team return to Europe.
"I had a tough day and struggled a bit," he said. "We still have quite a bit of work to do at Phillip Island but we now go to Spain and I'm sure we'll be very competitive there after what we've learned here in Australia."
