Rahal slams Duno after Indy crash
Graham Rahal blamed Milka Duno for the crash that ended his hopes of Indianapolis 500 victory - describing the Venezuelan as 'clueless'
The Newman/Haas/Lanigan driver - who had qualified fourth - was running with the leaders when he slid into the Turn 4 wall just after one quarter distance while lapping Duno's Dreyer & Reinbold car.
"She was absolutely clueless," Rahal said. "She would go low like she was going to let everybody by, but then she'd go fast enough where you couldn't get by her.
"She came out on track and run you real tight. I tried to go half a car width up in [Turn] 4, and it just went straight."
Ironically the accident was a near repeat of the crash in the same corner that ended Rahal's race on his Indianapolis debut last year.
He added that his frustration was compounded by how competitively he had been running prior to the accident.
"We had the pace to stay with the leaders," Rahal said. "We couldn't get close enough to pass, but still it's disappointing."
