Indy Lights champion Pigot has first run with Rahal IndyCar team
Indy Lights champion Spencer Pigot had his first test in the Rahal Letterman Lanigan IndyCar he will race this season at Sebring on Tuesday

The 22-year-old will compete in three rounds, including the Indianapolis 500, as team-mate to 2015 title contender Graham Rahal at the Honda-powered squad.
Pigot's 166 trouble-free laps of the 1.65-mile Sebring short course were his first time behind the wheel of a single-seater since he clinched the Lights title at Laguna Seca last September.
"The day was great," said Pigot.
"Our approach was to just get me comfortable in the car and comfortable working with everyone on the team and I think that went very well, very smoothly.
"We were able to get going pretty well early on in the day and I immediately felt comfortable in the car.
"From then I just focused on getting used to it and improving my driving and improving the car as well."
Team manager Ricardo Nault said Pigot had performed above expectations.
"Our goal for today was to get Spencer comfortable in the car and steadily get up to speed and he did a great job and ended with competitive laptimes," said Nault.
"He gave great feedback over the course of the day and we made several changes so that he could understand the impact they made."
Rahal will join Pigot for a second day of testing on Wednesday.
Pigot won the Lights title as a rookie having previously claimed the 2014 Pro Mazda Championship, and gets his IndyCar shot as the top prize in Mazda's Road to Indy ladder system.
He had already made his IndyCar testing debut with Penske at Sonoma last August.
