Indy bigger than the title for Andretti
Marco Andretti believes that winning the Indianapolis 500 is his main priority for 2007 rather than winning the IndyCar Series title
The 19-year-old came close to winning the race last year, and he believes that he will be able to compete for victory at Indy again this year.
"I think it's the 500 really," Andretti said when asked what his prioroty was for this season. "At Indy there's one thing left to do, I can't wait."
Andretti was narrowly beaten in the race last year by eventual champion Sam Hornish, who passed him on the run from Turn 4 to the chequered flag.
"That race has gone through my mind every hour of every day since," Andretti added. "It seems like yesterday, now we only have two months."
The Andretti Green driver feels that he will also be a contender for the title though, as his team has made progress over the winter.
"I don't want to speak to soon, but I think we might have found it on the bigger ovals, which is the only place we were really lacking last year," he said.
"Andretti Green is going to be pretty good across the board, so a championship is definitely possible, if we find that consistency."
